SITTNG GANESH

The elephant headed lord is depicted here in his usual relaxed form, with legs wide apart to accommodate the stupendous belly. The unusual part is that he has only two hands as against four that he is usually shown with. The right hand shows the 'Abhaya-mudra' and the left hand is in 'Gyan-mudra' each showing a blessing of fearlessness and meditative prowess. The trunk holds his favorite food 'Modak' or a ball of delicious goodness.
In all the sculpture exudes a simple and balanced look.
